Combined Science

Exam Board: AQA

Why study this subject?

We are a science school and proud of the fact that most of our students all complete the Triple Science route, however for some pupils the combined science route is better as you will achieve a higher grade by completing the combined science, Trilogy award.  This gives you two GCSEs not the triple 3, however, the exams are shorter and you can still take every subject at A-Level and beyond. It follows a third less content of the individual sciences and you are still taught by specialist teachers in the same time as the triple scientist have. This is a more  accessible route for our students who need additional support.

What does Homework look like in this subject?

Three times a week, one for each of the sciences, a 30 minute homework will be set for pupils to complete.  Prior to testing, which occurs approximately every 3 weeks, there will exam questions and revision knowledge learning mat to complete for homework.
